About Laura Roso

 

Laura Roso is a dedicated and passionate educator and performing arts specialist. She is currently working as a secondary school drama teacher, inspiring students to reach their full potential by using their imagination and creativity. As a drama teacher, Laura has written numerous scripts and directed many school productions, including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and Billionaire Boy, which has enhanced her ability as a storyteller. Her wealth of teaching experience has given her plenty of insight into the interests of her target audience for Race Against Ace.

As well as teaching, Laura is actively involved in the performing arts industry. Her entertainment career to date includes working as a Deputy Cruise Director for P&O Cruises and hosting events such as the Wakakirri National Story-Dance Festival. Other events she has taken part in include the AFL Grand Final Parade, Moomba Festival and Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight. She has appeared on stage hosting many events and has also appeared in numerous Australian television commercials and programs.

Laura’s vision in publishing Race Against Ace is to inspire children to read. She hopes the story’s message and funny, quirky, yet realistic characters will appeal to young readers everywhere. This debut novel by Laura Roso explores the enlightening journey experienced by a teenage boy faced with questions of personal and moral integrity, and examines the meaning of family, friendship, love, and loyalty, and above all, humanity.
